Who We Are
Iheartnella's obsession with recreating the pastel images in her mind began with her first brightly colored saturated cat trapper keeper. From the age of 8, Chenelle, the artistic force behind iheartnella has been focused on brinigng her highly saturated , creepy , pink daydreams Into the real world. Pursuing her art while obtaining her degrees , iHeartnella combined her love for Video games, anime, and African diaspora culture with her rose colored art perspective. Now an art teacher, iHeartnella continues to use her art to promote everyday moments of whimsy.
how it all started
14 years ago on my college campus, I decided that my headphones were boring with a lot of surface area . I decided to decorate them with pastel clouds, cute pokemon, and hearts. After my student community started asking for their own, and etsy jumped on to the scene, I decided to start my very own headphones business. With the help of deviantart and pre-corporate buyers markets I had a pretty succcessful business. Fast forward 6 years, I began my teaching career and didnt have the time to upkeep the shop . After 8 years of teaching and consistently drawing and consitently needing cute things, I found a new place and new demographic for my artwork. While I no longer customize headphones, I do customize my every day needs and bring whimsy into my every day life

Having your head In the clouds and your feet on the ground can be just as romantic as it sounds In eighties synth songs. The key Is bringing your own Inner world Into your everyday life. Iheartnella's goal Is to represent the futuristic, afrocentric, highly saturated fever dreams of the inner child In the real world with high quality art products. We strive for everyone to find their place In the world by creating a safe space for their Inner child and wildest daydreams.
